Damn has it been a REALLY LONG time (2017 last entry) since I have written in here.. my record of documentation and failed relationships but long journey to self discovery which each relationship (esp AFTER knowing God) seems to lead me to!
The other day I realized as I was writing to my mom (she is around 50 or 60) that it is uncanny how much a person can and DOES change from the ages of 1-30, then 30-60, more so 60-90, and 90-120 - BIG OOFS that I cannot even imagine.
For many women, in society, 50 - 90 seems to be a time where they feel completely invisible sort of in a limbo stuck remembering their long ago past where love, a family for those who go that route, career/work, money building and passion were at the forefront of their lives; and the so called safety, comfort and attractiveness they used to have to others (any people; not just mates etc) (this society places TOO much value on looks and status and such ESP toward women; things that are NOT actually important in the grand scheme of life nor do they actually depict how or who someone will be or how they will treat others) when it is gone; they feel lost, not whole or somehow lacking and longing for a part of their past selves. THAT IS 40 WHOLE YEARS! Not even at 40 think of the journey already made and then put it into the future. Its actually a REALLY long time if of course you don't die or if you live long enough.
I am realizing as I move into this phase of my life and many physical, emotional and mental changes that statistically I will come across; that I don't want my life to be characterized by those empty things. It isn't just because I am in a breakup or phase of separation right now either. I don't want to choose to focus on those things and in doing so I need to learn how to let go in a healthy way.
IF in fact I too will become invisible and I really believe this is likely. I need to learn to let go of even having the desire of others at all. I think now about what I really want those years to look like esp since I will likely be alone for many of them. Possibly poor. Possibly homeless? Possibly sick. No one and nothing is promised to any of us. No relationship or lack of one is going to lead me to believe I am somehow less worthy of respect or care even when it seems (as it does now that "no one" cares) God cares and He has shown me this in MANY aspects of my life in coming to know Him and I want to remember all of them today because honestly, I am going to need & use this truth as fuel to go on and to move forward.
The voice of truth in my life, is God's and I happen to know that He doesn't place any value on being sexy, good looks or status at all. He looks at the heart of people and their words and actions. This is the beauty I want to have and be characterized to. I have begun on my journey and no man or governments opinion/actions ever is going to matter to me more than that small still perfect voice of God. Stop the comparisons. Stop believing the lies and the world has their priorities all messed up.
I would say to any others struggling in my situation or maybe experiencing such a phenom or even who are not yet, these things do not define you unless YOU let them. You are more than the world is willing to pay you/for you. You are enough just as you are right now. :D You are beautiful already; this time in the world is for learning how to express that beauty, how to love and to perfect it - for growth, empowerment and character beauty - not skin. Not food. Not working out. Not in being the best at whatever running yourself ragged or overworking yourself to prove something. You have nothing to prove. God accepts you just as you are; where you are. He accepts me as I am too, so learning this I can just put on my best face and take a positive step forward even though I don't know where the path leads just yet.
